All of the wedding planning and decoration making came together at last on June 6th, 2015.
(see my earlier blog about making your own rustic wedding decor)
The day started out cloudy with a rumbling in the air and a prediction of a thunderstorm sometime in the afternoon..or possibly evening. (the wedding was scheduled to begin at 5:00 with drinks by the pool!) We were not too worried because there was nothing we could do about the weather. So we decided we may as well enjoy the wedding!
At Congress Hall the bride and bridesmaids began the process of getting their hair and makeup ready.
Here they are in the floral robes that Sean picked out for them.
They were going for a “tousled beachy look” and I think they succeeded!
Noa & Asa watched everyone get ready.
Sean’s hair had to be just right!
Finally the bride’s look was complete and she was gorgeous!!
Here she is with her sister Erin, the maid of honor.
As the girls were getting glammed up, safe and sound in the Congress Hall Hotel, the skies let loose, and we had a terrific thunderstorm! Back at the Beach Club everyone who was helping to prepare for the celebration hustled to bring things back under the pavilion.
And then…the storm passed and the sun peaked out from the drifting clouds. It was going to be a glorious day after all!
Meanwhile back at Congress Hall everyone prepared for photos. The flower girls looked adorable!
Noa & Olivia.
People assembled out on the court yard as the sun came out.
The beautiful bride was picture ready!

Sean & Brooks.
The Chuppah and the ceremony area on the beach were being prepared.
(Sean’s father made the beautiful Chuppah from birch trees and driftwood)
The welcome and signature drink table were set up and ready for the guests as they arrived.
(Peach Bellinis & Capt. Mays)
The boat was filled with ice cold beer.
There was a game area with shuffle board and bean bag toss.
(These were Sean & Chase’s game rules)
The guest’s name tags for table assignment were ready.
Photos of the bride & groom were displayed.
The sparkler send off – table for the end of the night was ready.
The “sweetheart table’ for the bride and groom was set.
The tables and chairs were set up in the tent on the sand.

Asa took a little snooze!
And then…the wedding procession to the beach began! The couple walked through the beautiful arch down to the beach.
The arch was made from willow branches and fresh flowers.
Chases’ grandparents lead the group.
The groom, Chase and his parents.
The bride’s mother (me), and my sons.
Sean’s sister, Erin and the best man.
The flower girls threw peach colored rose petals.
The bridesmaids waited for the bride and groom to walk down the sand.
The bride and her father descended as the sun shone through the drifting clouds.
My sister and my husband watched on benches in the sand.
The ceremony began under a beautiful sky.
The guest watched from the benches.
And from the back too.
The ceremony was touching, personal and beautiful!
The vows were heartfelt.

We all walked happily back for the reception.
