My Favorite Savory Toast Toppers

You can make some great savory toast toppers using vegetables, herbs and cheese. (In Italy these are referred to as crostino or bruschetta.) They can be substantial enough to be a meal in themselves for lunch or dinner. Any kind of bread will work - from a sliced baguette to pita bread, to a gluten free version.
