We Moved into the Hamptons Cottage at Last

This week we finally moved into our newly “rebuilt” house in the Hamptons. It’s been a long year without it, so I was pretty excited. The really nice part is that it has still retained the charming feel of the old cottage. Although it is much more spacious and has modern appliances & closets and a hand built artisan quality about it.

The difficult part was unpacking the many boxes, but once we got through that tedious job, the fun part began. I had been decorating the house in my mind all year long and had imagined where everything would go. So it was fun to see if it would come together the way I had pictured. After moving things here and there, I was pretty satisfied with how it turned out.

It is a small, but spacious cottage and it feels so well constructed and so personal.

I really love the way the tiles turned out.

We are still waiting on a few things, but it feels like “Home Sweet Home” already!
