Colorful Egg Salad for a Memorial Day Picnic

Memorial Day is the start of the summer season, which brings picnics, barbecues and outdoor dining to mind. When I think of picnics, I think of potato salad and egg salad. My previous post was for my "Colorful Heirloom Potato Salad", and here is my recipe for "Colorful Egg Salad". The addition of minced vegetables adds some extra crunch and flavor to this recipe. “Rustic Chic” Wedding Decor That You Can Make Yourself

Sean & Chase's wedding - June 6, 2015 We are all working together to create a festive atmosphere for my daughter's upcoming wedding in Cape May. It is going to be held at the Cape May Beach Club, which is a pool club with a pavilion. It is located directly next to a secluded beach. Unfortunately the work came to a halt on the cottage for many months. Now the weather has warmed up, and work has finally progressed. This week is the first…

A Trip to Hawaii to Visit My Family

Some Meals Inspired by My Trip to Hawaii While visiting my mother and my sister's family on the big island of Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, I was inspired to make some meals using the tropical local produce. There are many Greenmarkets to shop at that carry locally grown produce such as papayas, pineapples and avocados, apple bananas and mangos, as well as many other fruits and vegetables. They also carry a beautiful array of tropical flowers like Orchids, Bird of Paradise, Hibiscus, Plumera and Anthurium. My sister has some colorful ceramic dishware and retro Hawaii…
