The Sky Late Christmas Day / NYC

The Sky Late Christmas Day / NYC

Christmas Day 2014 Looking out the window at the skyline on Christmas Day was magical. It was so clear, and the last bit of sunlight was hitting the buildings with such a golden tone. Skaters at The Lasker Rink in Central Park.
Botanical Watercolors

Botanical Watercolors

2007 / Carnival Squash Botanical Watercolor I painted these botanical watercolors quite a few years ago. I was going through a phase of observing and painting things as realistically as possible. I was especially fond of produce. (You can still see my fascination when looking at my Instagrams today!) I found this style of painting very relaxing and fulfilling, but also quite painstaking. I happened to be between jobs at that point, so I had some time on my hands. I did many, many watercolors during this period, but here are some of…
Hamptons Cottage Before Renovation

Hamptons Cottage Before Renovation

September 2014 This is a photo of our little cottage in the Hamptons before the renovation began. I miss it already, but I also cannot wait to see it when the renovations are finished..which unfortunately will not be finished until fall 2015 at the earliest! RECIPE: Lightly saute the vegetables below in a few TB. of olive…
Crunchy Coconut Pistachio Granola

Crunchy Coconut Pistachio Granola

It's nice to have a tin of homemade granola around have when you need a little something indulgent. I like to add a few different ingredients to my granola to make it more interesting than what you can buy at the store. I also throw in some extra goodies to make it even healthier. Instead of canola oil, I use coconut oil - and it can never hurt to toss in some flax, hemp and chia seeds too!
